@@adamtouma1753 I could probably do the car in one shot. A new person trying for first time might do like half the car. It doesn't matter much. Nothing can really go wrong. If you apply it to heavy then it will dry and be pretty hard to remove

Depends on size if car. If it's a Escalade work sections. If it's a Miata just do everything

@@STATUSDETAIL thanks for replying this fast fortunately I live in Dubai and there is only 1 detailing shop that uses STEK And that shop is not very professional in installing The ppf , so my other option is go with TOPAZ they have there own ppf and i don’t know nothing about but there products but all the crazy and hyper cars trust them and they are so professionals , i don’t know if you have an idea about there own ppf or not

@@faisalmohammed4025 unfamiliar with the PPF they have. The videos look like they do very good work. The best PPF is often the best installer. Obviously the best film with vest installer is ideal. But if you can only have one id choose a great installer.

@@STATUSDETAIL No, some flash directly eg wipe off directly, some needs to cure for anything from a couple of mins to 15-20 mins meaning you can work larger sections up to a whole car in one go...You complained about the short flash time, and working small sections.

@@patrickroos739 the manufacturer gave this to me to test and review and explained how it works. It did not work the way they explained it to me. I didn't like it. That's the short version lol

@@Rey-xj3te checkout high end detailing stuff a little more. This pricing is not unusual at all. Remember the price includes shipping. Any well known shop working on cars like this will charge similar pricing. Then figure your shipping in when it's out of state.

If you want my current up-to-date opinion on these matters then I would use gtechnic citrus foam with g wash mixed into the same foam cannon for normal washes. You can split those between a phone step and a wash step if you feel like your car is really dirty then just do citrus foam first by itself. If you want my honest opinion I would use gtechnic exo v5 as your topper and skip gyeon wax all together. Id do crystal serum light as your base coat. Gtechniq ceramic is my preference over gyeon

My overall opinion on PPF has changed lot since this video this is an older one. I do agree if you have a great film and also a great installer then you will not experience most of the issues in this video. However there are some basic things that are brought up in this video that are still valid like chips don't look great in film and can definitely go through the film and still hit the paint. However there are definitely a lot of pros to film like never having swirl marks basically when you do a full body. In general I'm pro PPF when done correctly.

It kind of explain this in a RUclips video it's the xpel vs STEK video I made. But in general we live in a world where people want PPF especially on exotic cars. The majority of the installs are abominations lol. So so I learned the process of PPF and do it the status detail way which is a way of installation that virtually no one will do because I go the extra mile and do a really extensive installation so we have to charge a lot of money for it but in my line of work I'm able to charge what is necessary to do something that most people won't attempt. Long story short when you have a good film and you're installing the way we install there are a lot of pros but obviously there are some drawbacks cuz everything has drawbacks. If you're very good at doing PPF then you'll always make good money as well that's just kind of a byproduct. Unless of course you price yourself way too low which many people also do in ultimately is just unfortunate for them and their business because there is a wide range of PPF pricing and if you're good you should be at the high end of that and shouldn't short change yourself.

I used to say word for word what you just said until I realized there were films on the market that were incredibly clear to the point where they actually make cars that have orange peel sometimes look like they don't have Orange peel. The only missing Link is to make sure you have an amazing installation so this seems are pretty hidden. I completely understand your comment because I used to be the person commenting this.

It's a little different. I mentioned this about 720s and flamethrower times too in video lol. Generally speaking it's ok by a exhaust exit. But it's discussed with every owner on cars like this. A cat or especially down pipe is way different. A down pipe) high flow car can literally glow under extensive load lol. Exhaust tips don't do that. Unless your running some crazy flame tune stuff. Then get the chicken ready your roasting everything!

Difficult question! If you do a insane correction on a destroyed car then you could use a lot. Personally it takes me a long time to use a 1000. If your a business id buy the bigger ones. They don't really expire and it's less money to buy it that way. If you're like a DIYer then probably the smaller size you'll easily be able to do multiple cars with a 500.

Same guide 👍 The main stuff you skip when you have PPF is any polishing steps I ever talk about. You can polish PPF but think it's kind of tricky It should be its own video.

We offered tint In past. But not currently. I try to offer things that I can do myself and I just don't do tint currently. I've definitely done trucks but I do primarily sports cars. My pricing and packages are geared towards high end cars and customers seeking high end service. So I probably lose most truck customers when we get to pricing. But I've done some for sure.
